Highlights from Salone del Mobile 2022

Founded in 1961, Salone Internazionale del Mobile takes place every April. Over time, it has become one of the most anticipated events in the world of furniture. Comprising a mix of established names, new faces and international brands, Salone holds court in every interior designer’s mind as a primary source of trend forecasting and inspiration.

Below is a snapshot of all we loved in the sphere of bed, bath and beyond:

LAYLA

A double sized padded bed of eye-catching proportions, what makes Layla instantly stand out is its headboard – generous yet simple in form. The thick padding provides a comfortable and welcoming support, a sensation exalted by the aesthetics of its extremely soft cover.

“Its strongpoint is the ability to project the idea of an embrace, a haven where we can let ourselves go and relax.”

HEMP & BIORYTMIC

BY BOYTEKS TEKSTIL

The effects of Biorytmic Sleep mattress ticking on stress during and after sleep has been traced with the EDA (Electrodermal Activity) method, which has confirmed the efficacy of this fabric in reducing stress and starting the day stress free.

Developed by Boyteks, it aligns certain minerals found in nature known for their energy content in a certain geometric composition. This formulation of minerals specially disperses vibrational energy that activates the meridians of the body through impulses for a better sleep environment conducive to improved intra-body communication. By helping to relieve stress while you sleep and regulating the body’s natural biorhythm, this brand new mattress ticking technology improves relaxation and rejuvenation.

Boyteks’ other worthy contribution to industrial textiles takes the form of a hemp mattress, a natural alternative to conventional bedding choices – and a great way to be greener!

‘As if floating on clouds’, is an apt way to describe the Nana love seat, whose design lines are clear without being hard. Truly multisensual, it is voluptuous and elegant to the eye but also for the sense of touch and smell. Scented wood and supple fabrics made with traditional craftsmanship deems it the chair your bedroom never knew how much it needed.
